Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011107363A1] In order to provide a switch (1) for bridging submodules of a converter having a contact arrangement which has a stationary contact piece (12), which is in electrical contact with a stationary contact connection terminal (2), and a moving contact piece (11), which can move relative to the stationary contact piece (12) and is arranged in a disconnected position at a distance from the stationary contact piece (12) and makes contact with the stationary contact piece (12) in a contact position, and having a pyrotechnic drive (4) for generating a drive movement which can be introduced into the moving contact piece (11), which switch is compact and simple, the invention proposes that the switching contact is arranged in atmospheric air at atmospheric pressure.
