Abstract (en)
A container (10) for a powdered cosmetic including a container body (14) defining a reservoir (12) for receiving loose powder, a strainer (16) defining a powder collection surface (15), of smaller size than the container body (14), covering the reservoir (12), and a lid (20) adapted and configured to define a powder receiving volume (24) between the strainer (16) and the lid, and at least one aperture (18) around the powder collection surface (15) for powder to fall from the strainer (16) into the reservoir (12). Preferably, the strainer (16) further includes at least one upstanding ridge (30) for at least partially cleaning a brush or sponge applicator.
