The device has a tool (5) with a contour (5.1) and another tool (6) with another contour (6.1), where the contours are pressed against each other over a deformation area (4). A radiation source (7) is formed for providing an electro-magnetic radiation which serves a heating of the workpieces (1,2) between the tools. The radiation source is arranged lateral to the tools such that the electro-magnetic radiation is directed from the workpieces and in the deformation area.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Fügen zweier aufeinander liegender Werkstücke (1, 2), die ein erstes Werkzeug (5), aufweisend eine erste Kontur (5.1), und ein zweites Werkzeug (6), aufweisend eine zweite Kontur (6.1), umfasst, wobei die erste Kontur (5.1) und die zweite Kontur (6.1) über einen Umformbereich (4) gegeneinander drückbar sind. Seitlich der Werkzeuge (5, 6) sind Strahlungsquellen (7) angeordnet, die eine elektromagnetische Strahlung zur Erwärmung des ersten Werkstücks (1) und des zweiten Werkstücks (2) in eine sich zwischen der ersten Kontur (5.1) und der zweiten Kontur (6.1) erstreckenden Umformebene (3) richten.
