[origin: EP2543486A2] The device (1) has a product supply (11) comprising product supply devices (13), which are arranged parallel and next to each other and supply food products (3) into tracks of a cutting plane (5). A cutting knife (7) is rotated and/or circulated and moved in the plane. An intermediate blade supply comprises a conveyor device for the tracks. An intermediate blade (19) is provided between plates and/or portions formed by the plates in the tracks of the conveyor device. The conveyor device is independently operated, and a common drive i.e. electric motor, is provided for the conveyor device. An independent claim is also included for a method for multitrack provision of intermediate blades at a device for cutting a food product.
