The side fold clamp comprises an upwardly facing L-leg (3) that comprises a L-shaped element (2), and an element that comprises an overlap hook (8) or a plate-shaped structure and a countertoothing, where the L-leg and the element comprising the hook are coupled together. The overlap hook or the plate-shaped structure is located above a free end of the L-leg and is offset from the free end. The L-shaped element comprises a lower L-leg that is provided with a toothing (4). A front free end of the lower L-leg comprises an enlarged single tooth, whose tooth flanks fall at 1-3[deg] . Die Erfindung betrifft eine Seitenfalzklammer (1) mit einem einen nach oben weisenden L-Schenkel (5) aufweisenden L-förmigen Element (2) und mit einem einen Übergriffshaken (8) oder ein plattenförmiges Gebilde (19) aufweisendes Element (6), die miteinander gekoppelt sind. Um eine Seitenfalszklammer (1) mit einer erhöhten Stabilität zur Verfügung zu stellen, schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass sich der Übergriffshaken (8) oder das plattenförmige Gebilde (19) oberhalb des freien Endes und in Längsrichtung (10) des nach oben weisenden Schenkels (5) befindet.
