The method comprises subjecting powder metallurgy products to a pre-debinding process in a separate system, introducing the pre-debinded products into a first treatment chamber, subjecting the products to a residual debinding process and presintering in the first treatment chamber, subjecting the products in the first treatment chamber to a further debinding process, and subjecting the products to a residual sintering process in a second treatment chamber. The residual debinding process and presintering are carried out while maintaining a hot treatment chamber wall. The method comprises subjecting powder metallurgy products to a pre-debinding process in a separate system, introducing the pre-debinded products into a first treatment chamber, subjecting the products to a residual debinding process and presintering in the first treatment chamber, subjecting the products in the first treatment chamber to a further debinding process, and subjecting the products to a residual sintering process in a second treatment chamber. The residual debinding process and presintering are carried out while maintaining a hot treatment chamber wall and continuous removal of the resulting condensable gases. Es wird ein Verfahren zum Entbindern und Sintern von pulvermetallurgisch hergestellten Produkten, speziell von pressgeformten Bauteilen oder Vorprodukten hiervon, beschrieben, bei dem die Produkte einem Restentbinderungsprozess in einer ersten Behandlungskammer und einem nachfolgenden Sinterprozess in einer zweiten Behandlungskammer unterzogen werden. In der ersten Behandlungskammer werden die Produkte zusätzlich zur Restentbinderung einer Vorsinterung und in der zweiten Behandlungskammer nur einer Restsinterung unterzogen. Die Restentbinderung und Vorsinterung wird unter Aufrechterhaltung einer heißen Behandlungskammerwandung und unter kontinuierlichem Abzug der entstandenen kondensierbaren Abgase durchgeführt. Ferner wird eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung eines derartigen Verfahrens beschrieben, bei der die erste Behandlungskammer in einem Retortenofen angeordnet ist.
