Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2546066A1] The recording material comprises a web-shaped substrate having a front side as the first of the two substrate sides and a rear side as the second of the two substrate sides, and a pigmented coating formed form one of the two sides of the substrate. The coating is present on the rear side of the substrate, and comprises a zinc salicylate (5.5-11 wt.%) as color acceptor, a dye precursor, an inorganic pigment, a pigment mixture, a binder and a unit for hydrophobizing the coating on the rear side of the substrate. A ratio of the zinc salicylate and the inorganic pigment is 1:6.5-1:14. An independent claim is included for a process for producing a recording material for a pressure-induced formation of a typeface.
