[origin: EP2546157A1] The crate (10.1) comprises a base (12.1) and a circumferential edge (14.1) around the base. The edge comprises a side wall (20.1) and another side wall (22.1) lying opposite to the former side wall. A transverse wall (44.1) is formed, which connects the former and the latter side walls, where another transverse wall (46.1) lies opposite to the former transverse wall. The base forms an upwardly open trough (24.1) and downwardly open space. A pad element is provided, which is arranged in the downwardly open space and is attached relative to the base. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a transport packaging with an outer container, particularly an outer carton and a crate; and (2) a transport container with a transport packaging and a crate.
