Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2546525A1] The rotary pump (2) has pump casing (4) that encloses a flow space (10) to connect intake opening (6) and discharge opening (8). An impeller wheel (12) is provided in flow space and configured to be driven in rotation. An expansion structure (14) is fluidically connected to flow space. A spiral casing (16) is provided surrounding an outer circumference of the impeller wheel in a mounted position in the pump housing. The spiral casing is a single-portion or multi-portion shaped component and is configured separately from the pump housing.
