Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011113784A2] The invention relates to a surface-cleaning head for cleaning a surface, comprising a housing that has a cleaning chamber which is surrounded by a peripheral wall and which is open at the bottom. At least one cleaning nozzle is mounted in said cleaning chamber in a freely rotatable manner about a rotational axis in order to apply cleaning fluid onto the surface to be cleaned. The cleaning head also comprises a jet pump for suctioning cleaning fluid that is applied onto the surface. The jet pump has a pump inlet channel that is connected to a capturing channel via a mixing chamber, a propelling nozzle lying upstream of said capturing channel. The aim of the invention is to develop the surface-cleaning head such that the pressure and the delivery rate of the cleaning fluid can be reduced without significant losses of the suction force of the suction pump. This is achieved in that the pump inlet channel is oriented in a radial manner with respect to the rotational axis of the at least one spray arm and adjoins the peripheral wall of the cleaning chamber, and in that the diameter of the capturing channel is 14 mm to 18 mm and the distance between the propelling nozzle and the capturing channel is at least 10 mm. The invention further relates to a surface-cleaning arrangement comprising such a surface-cleaning head and an outlet line.
