[origin: WO2011113466A1] The invention relates to a hinge for a door, lid, or similar pivoting leaf of a motor vehicle, comprising a body-side hinge part (10) and a door-side hinge part, which can be pivoted relative to each other about a hinge pin (12), and comprising an integrated door retaining device (22), which has a retaining element (24) arranged on sides of the one hinge part (10), wherein the retaining element interacts with a retaining contour (46) on sides of the other hinge part, wherein the retaining element is designed as a clamping element (24) that interacts with a clamping surface (32) of the hinge pin (12), wherein the clamping force of the clamping element can be adjusted according to the retaining contour (46) by means of a transmitting element (36).
