[origin: WO2011113950A1] The invention relates to a method for operating an LED-based (F) light source which comprises at least two LEDs (8) with different emission colours. In order to obtain a light emission having a colour corresponding to a desired chromaticity coordinate, the intensity of the LEDs (8) is controlled individually. Said invention is characterised by virtue of the fact that the intensity of the LEDs (8) is standardised such that when the chromaticity coordinate changes within a controllable colour range provided for the operation, the total intensity of the light emission remains constant.
