[origin: EP2548670A1] The tool (1A) has a tool upper part (3) and a tool base part (2) provided with lower and upper mold bodies (4, 5). The mold bodies are arranged in the tool upper part and/or the tool base part in a bearing (22). The bearing is formed such that the mold bodies are thermally expanded during heating process. The bearing comprises a sliding block (28) guided into an elongation groove. Guide elements (18, 19) are provided at the upper and lower mold bodies and/or at a blank holder (16). A heating device (9) e.g. heating cartridge, tempers the mold bodies. The mold bodies are mono-block bodies. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a mold component from a light metal plate.
