Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2549474A1] The shield (1) has a flexible absorption layer (2) including a porous matrix containing flakes (3) of flexible foam, where the flakes are attached to one another by a binder. A set of dispersed particles (4) of dense material is arranged in the binder. A web (6) of porous material is utilized for limiting penetration of foam based on non-woven layers arranged between a spring (5) and the absorption layer, where the shield has absorption properties that are conferred by a layer of non-impregnated foam.
