Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2549495A1] The transformer has transformer core, radially inner winding segment (34) and radially outer winding segment (32) wound around common winding axis. The hollow cylindrical cooling ducts (36,38) are formed between winding segments. The spacer elements (40,42) are arranged such that cooling ducts allows coolant passage in axial direction. The spacer elements are formed along duct radial circumference over axial length, such that proportionate weight of horizontal transformer is borne on contact surface (44) of winding segment (32) without causing deformation to cooling ducts.
