Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011116948A1] The invention relates to an inflatable airbag arrangement (11) for a motor vehicle dashboard, comprising: a flap that covers an airbag module, and a link (18) that is solidly connected to the flap and to stationary means (16) which are rigidly secured to the dashboard, in order to form a hinge between the flap and the dashboard. According to the invention, a portion (21) of the flexible link (18) surrounds a stop element (19) forming part of the aforementioned stationary means (16) and is secured to said means (16) at a certain distance from the stop element (19), such that, upon the opening of the flap, the linear link (18) disengages from the stationary means (16) in order to bear on the stop element (19) so as to release an additional length of link, thereby allowing the mobility of the flap to be increased.
