Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011116949A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle inflatable airbag arrangement (1) including a flap (3) that covers an inflatable airbag module. The flap (3) comprises a body (5) having a reinforcing plate (13) secured thereto and said flap is hinged to a stationary part (2) so as to open upon inflation of the airbag. In addition, a linear link (26) is solidly connected to the flap (3) and to the stationary part (2) in order to restrict the opening of the flap (3) as the airbag is being inflated. The linear link (26) is secured to the flap (3), being clamped between the body (5) and the plate (13) that is secured to the body (5). The flap (3) comprises a reinforcing rod (22) disposed between the plate (13) and the link (26), said reinforcing rod (22) extending along the edge of the flap (3) at least in the area where the link (26) extends beyond said edge.
