[origin: EP2550883A1] The present invention provides an ear protector (32) for a hockey or lacrosse helmet (10), the ear protector having a front portion (34), a top portion (36), a rear portion (38), a bottom portion (40) with a bottom edge (42) and inner and outer sides (44, 46), the ear protector being made of a first material and a second material, the first material being a clear rigid material and the second material being a soft material, wherein the second material is overmolded onto the first material for covering the bottom edge such that the bottom edge is at least partially made of the second material overmolded onto the first material.
