[origin: EP2551630A2] The multi-piece partial fragmentation projectile comprises a demountable section or strut (2) and a non-demountable section or tail (3) arranged behind the strut in the shooting direction. A connecting section is provided, which connects the strut and the tail with each other. The connecting section is formed as a concentric hollow compression cylinder with a smaller outer diameter than the strut and the tail. The compression cylinder is integrally formed on the strut or the tail and is inserted into the strut or the tail.
