[origin: WO2011121012A1] The invention relates to an illumination device for vehicles, in particular for traction vehicles and trailers, having a housing in which light sources of different light-generating types can be secured in a replaceable fashion in a mounted state, wherein the light sources (12) of different light-generating types are assigned at least one optical element (14) for the purpose of forming a light module (8) which can be detachably connected to a supporting frame (2) of the housing and which generates a predefined lighting function, and wherein an individual lens (30) is mounted in front of the light modules (8) of different light-generating types in the mounted state thereof, and in front of the supporting frame (2).
