[origin: WO2011124403A2] The invention relates to a connecting element for solar cell modules, designed as a profiled element having a first profile limb, a second profile limb parallel to the first profile limb and spaced apart from the latter by the width of the first profile limb, a profile base joining the first and second profile limbs at one of the ends thereof, which has a first extension extending beyond the side of that second profile limb which faces away from the first profile limb, and a second extension which is formed at the second end of the second profile limb and which extends in the same direction as the first extension at a distance therefrom corresponding to the thickness of a modular support, wherein, in each case on the free surface of the profile base and the second extension, a recess is provided having an undercut for the form-fitting engagement of an outer profile part.
