Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011124433A2] The invention relates to busbar trunking unit (102; 202) for a busbar trunking system (101; 201) having a plurality of busbars (104; 204), each of which comprises a busbar-like electric conductor (106; 206) and insulation (107; 207) encasing the electric conductor (106; 206), and further having a busbar housing (105; 205) surrounding the busbars (104; 204), in which housing the busbars (104; 204) are arranged flat next to one another, wherein first side walls (108; 208) of the busbar housing (105; 205) make thermally conductive contact with flat sides (109; 209) that face said side walls and are part of two of the busbars (104; 204) located on the outside, and wherein the busbar housing (105; 205) has second side walls (119; 219), which extend at a distance (120, 121; 220, 221) from and parallel to the first side walls (108; 208). The invention further relates to a busbar trunking system (101; 201) having such busbar trunking units. In order to improve the utilization capacity of the cross-sections of the electric conductors of the busbars, according to the invention the second side walls (119; 219) of the busbar housing (105; 205) form a shock-hazard protection means (118; 218), which is provided with ventilation holes (123; 223) for ventilating the busbar housing (105; 205).
