Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2555170A1] Disclosed is a device comprising a conveyor unit (22) that conveys a bill inserted from an insertion opening (21) for inserting bills from outside; an identification unit (23) that identifies a denomination of the bill inserted from the insertion opening and sorts normal/defective bills according to whether the bill is normal or defective; a recycling stacker (25) for storing the bill conveyed by the conveyor unit, based on identification results of the identification unit, and for feeding the stored bill to the conveyor unit; and a control unit (33) for controlling a drive of the recycling stacker and the conveyor unit to discharge from a discharge opening (24) in a transacted amount of a debit settlement, normal bills stored in the recycling stacker, when a bill output instruction is detected for the transacted amount in the debit settlement. The device complies with a stipulation in ECB Article 6, while increasing a number of saved normal bills.
