[origin: DE102010014588A1] The power station has a steam turbine (1) and/or gas turbine rotating at a constant speed to drive an electricity generator (2). A pump (3) with a variable speed, to feed and/or compress the working medium to the drive and/or give a process supply to the turbine, is driven by the turbine. A gearing (4) with a speed control has a mechanical main power output (5) and a hydrodynamic branch (6) with a coupling with an overlaid gearing (4) to give a variable speed at the drive output.
