[origin: EP2556920A2] The device has a grinding device (12) i.e. tape grinding device, and a turntable (13) on which a knife ring is fastened in such a manner that the ring is rotated in a lying arrangement with vertically oriented axles relative to the grinding device. The turntable and the grinding device are arranged on a swivel table (24). The swivel table is pivotably attached at a machine frame (14) for tilting the ring from a dismounting position with a horizontal axis (29) into a processing position with vertical axles around the horizontal axis. The grinding device is upwardly guided into the ring.
