A bracket for connecting timber to concrete, wherein the bracket is formed of metal and comprises a folded plate having: a first planar section having means to facilitate positive locking of the bracket to concrete; a second planar section having means for connection to timber; and a third section integrally joined to each of the first and second sections at non-zero angles; so that the bracket has a "Z" shape.
