The apparatus (1) has a feeding device (100) conveying sheets (2) along conveying direction (F) such that leading edges (3) of the sheets are at a distance (d) from each other. A folding unit (200) is arranged downstream of the feeding device. The folding unit is formed as a buckle folding unit for creating folds (4) on the sheet, where the folds are transversely orientated to the conveying direction. A scoring device (210) scores the sheets before folding and during conveying, at a location of an envisaged fold transverse to the conveying direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing paper or flat flexible material-made sheets.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Bearbeiten von Bogen (2) aus Papier oder einem anderen flexiblen, flächigen Material. Die Vorrichtung umfasst eine Zufördereinrichtung (100) zum Fördern der Bogen (2) in einer Förderrichtung (F) mit einem Abstand zueinander oder in einer Schuppenformation und ein Falzaggregat (200), das stromabwärts von der Zuförderreinrichtung (100) angeordnet ist. Das Falzaggregat (200) ist ein Taschenfalzaggregat zur Herstellung wenigstens eines Falzes (4), der quer zur Förderrichtung (F) verläuft. Zur Verbesserung der Qualität des Falzes ist eine Rilleinrichtung (210) vorhanden, die imstande ist, den Bogen (2) vor dem Falzen und während der Förderung an der Stelle des vorgesehenen Falzes (4) quer zur Förderrichtung (F) zu rillen. Hierdurch können die Bogen (2) selbst bei hohen Verarbeitungsraten mit guter Qualität gefalzt und anschliessend weiter bearbeitet werden.
