Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2559802A1] The drain pump (5) has a filter element (6) arranged in a filter housing (7), which is accessible from outer side of a machine housing for cleaning purposes. The filter element has a maze like flow channel arranged in the filter housing for retaining foreign particles. The filter element consists of two separate labyrinth rings (8,9), where an inner labyrinth ring is connected with a lid (10) of the filter element and an outer labyrinth ring is attached to the inner labyrinth ring for fluting formation of the filter element due to threads and fluffs. An independent claim is included for a washing machine for use with a machine housing.
