Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011132130A1] A vertical-axis wind turbine having a rotor including a vertical stem (2) and a plurality of sets of vanes (4a) fixed orthogonal to the stem (2). The turbine is configured to imitate a tree, with the vanes (4) having a rectilinear and elongated configuration with lengths progressively decreasing from a base (1), which contains a wind-energy conversion device (3) and is designed in use to be buried in the ground, towards the top of the stem (2).
