Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011131219A1] The invention relates to a lighting device (1), preferably for illuminating public spaces, such as streets, squares, transportation stops, sidewalks, or cycleways, comprising: at least one LED lighting means (2, 3), preferably in the form of a planar arrangement of light-emitting diodes; at least one electrical connection element (4, 4', 10, 11, 12) for connecting the LED lighting means (2, 3) to an electrical current/voltage supply; and at least one carrier plate (5), to which at least the LED lighting means is fastened in a thermally conductive manner; the lighting device being characterized in that the carrier plate (5) is an aluminum composite plate, which has an upper cover layer (5b) and a lower cover layer (5c) made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, preferably AlMg 1, and a core (5a), preferably made of plastic and/or a mineral material, especially preferably having a polymer-based binder, and/or a metal material, especially preferably having a honeycomb structure or the like, and in that the LED lighting means (2, 3) is in thermally conductive contact with one of the cover layers (5b).
