[origin: WO2011134775A1] The invention relates to a hacksaw or jigsaw (10) comprising at least one housing (14), a tool area (16) for a linear and/or oscillating driven saw blade (18), a control (20) on the housing side for activating a working saw motion (24) by an operator, a drive unit (22) disposed in the housing (14) for generating the working saw motion (24) of the saw blade (18), an electronic unit (36) disposed in the housing (14) for applying at least control and/or feedback signals to the drive unit (22). The drive unit (22) comprises at least one excitation actuator (38) having a volume of active excitation material for generating a microwork motion (28) controlled or regulated by the electronic unit (36) during operation. According to the invention, the excitation actuator (38) can overlay the microwork motion (28) at least on the working saw motion (24) of the saw blade (18).
