Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011135221A1] The invention relates to a hybrid vehicle chassis (2) that forms a substantially flat horizontal frame, placed along a vertical axis between the semi-rigid rear axle system and the body of the vehicle, and is located totally behind the deformable crosspiece (6) of said rear axle system. Said chassis includes tubes, making up the frame that is provided for holding an electrical power train (4) that drives the wheels (14) of said rear axle system, and moreover includes electrical batteries (60) for supplying power to said power train. The frame includes two front (42) and rear transverse tubes (48) that are connected therebetween by longitudinal tubes (46). Said transverse tubes comprise, on each end, a means (44) for attachment onto the vehicle body. Said hybrid vehicle chassis is characterized in that the central portion of the front transverse tube (42) is placed at least partially in front of the deformable crosspiece (6) and comprises ends that are folded towards the rear.
