Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011135198A2] The invention relates to an instrumented assembly for an axle journal, comprising a journal cap (26) having a bottom (26.1) provided with at least one open hole (26.3) and a skirt (26.2) defining a geometrical reference axis (ZZ), the skirt having a distal end (26.6) opposite the bottom and forming an axial support face, the journal cap having a larger outer diameter D1. Said assembly also comprises a magnetic encoder ring (36) that is either attached to a support (40, 50) fixed in relation to the journal cap (26) and has a diameter D3, axially covering the journal cap (26), or is directly fixed to the journal cap (26) and has an outer diameter D2 less than D1.
