[origin: WO2011134544A1] The invention relates to a hardware system for a pair of eyeglasses, comprising a hinge part having a first section for fastening to an eyeglass sidepiece and a second section for fastening to an eyeglass frame, wherein the first section and the second section are connected to each other by means of a rotational joint and the second section has at least one first connection point, which can be connected to a first fastening point in a first fastening area of an eyeglass frame. The second section also has a second connection point, which can be connected to a second fastening point in a second fastening area of the eyeglass frame by means of at least one cap piece. The cap piece is intended to be placed on the side of the eyeglass sidepiece or of the eyeglass frame facing away from the hinge part and interacts with the hinge part in order to fasten the eyeglass sidepiece or the eyeglass frame.
