[origin: WO2011135239A1] The present invention relates to a safety device for photovoltaic panels for short circuiting the electrical power outlets of the panel, said safety device being provided with a connector for connecting said electrical outlets of the panel, wherein the connector is provided with a switch having a first "passive" position for maintaining the connection between the electrical outlets of the panel and a second "operative" position for interrupting the connection between the electrical outlets of the panel, wherein the device is provided with a control element that enables the switch to move from the "passive" position thereof to the "operative" position thereof.
