[origin: EP2564930A1] The cutter has a housing (3), and a chip chamber (4) arranged in the housing. A comminution tool is arranged in the chamber in a rotatable manner around a rotating axis. A supply opening for cutting goods is formed at circumference of the tool. The tool has a cutter disk (10), and a cutter (11) is fixed at the disk, where the cutter has an edge (16). Distance of the edge to the disk and distance of the edge to circumference of the disk increase continuously from a leading end of the edge to a subsequent end (22) of the edge, where the cutter is formed as a spirally curved plate.
