[origin: EP2565321A1] The dryer (1) has an exhaust air duct (2) provided with a supply air duct (12) is arranged between drying chamber (3) and cross-flow heat exchanger (14). The exhaust air duct and cross-flow heat exchanger are provided such that the process air is flowed with respect to cooling flow inlet (24) of cross-flow heat exchanger by the exhaust air duct, with greater proportion. The flow guidance portion in the exhaust air duct is provided in the flowing against region of the cross-flow heat exchanger. An independent claim is included for method for operating dryer.
