According to the invention, the metal composite beam (3) is formed by means of a profiled beam (4) made of metal, preferably a T beam, and a further beam (5), in particular a wooden beam, which has a hole (9) congruent with the profiled beam (4), wherein the profiled beam (4) lies in said hole. The profiled beam (4) and the further beam (5) are connected to each other, the profiled beam (4) is flush with the further beam (5) on one longitudinal side and encased by the further beam (5) on the other longitudinal side. The composite beam (3) according to the invention looks like a wooden beam, for example, is stable, and enables a filigree supporting structure of the glazing.
