Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011138194A2] In order to provide a preheating system (1) for heating a diesel engine, which comprises a high temperature circuit (8) and a low temperature circuit (9), said preheating system having a circulating pump and a preheating unit (2) for circulating and heating a heat exchange fluid, wherein an inlet (3), in which an inlet branch (5) is disposed for connecting the high temperature circuit (8) and low temperature circuit (9), and a return (4), in which an return branch (6) is disposed for connection the high temperature circuit (9) and the low temperature circuit (9), are provided, by means of which preheating system preheating losses can be prevented as much as possible and the preheating process is accelerated, the feed branch (5) and/or return branch (6) is/are implemented by one thermostat valve (18) each, wherein each thermostat valve (18) enables circulating of the heat exchange fluid either in the high temperature circuit (8) or the low temperature circuit (9) as a function of a changeover temperature.
