[origin: WO2011137958A1] The invention relates to a projectile (1) that can be shot from a barreled weapon, comprising a subcaliber projectile body (2), on the rear end of which a wing guide mechanism (5) comprising several wings (4) is arranged. In order to avoid putting persons at risk due to sabot segments that fly away when such projectiles (1) are fired, a driving element (3) of approximately the same caliber is rigidly arranged at the rear on the subcaliber projectile body (2). The wings (4) are foldably arranged on the driving element. The width (B) of the wings (4) is selected in such a way that, in the resting position of the wings, the wings (4) form a guide cage for guiding the projectile body (2) within the weapon barrel from which the projectile (1) is to be shot.
