[origin: WO2011138516A1] The present invention relates to a security document that is remotely authenticable under variable lighting conditions through a transparent or translucent physical barrier by means of a tester, as well as to the corresponding tester and to the test method, wherein the invention is characterized in that the document comprises at least one reactant changing color by spatially and temporally coherent laser radiation, emitted by the tester, wherein said radiation is referred to as the authenticating radiation, and is further characterized in that said tester comprises a means enabling said authenticating radiation to be sufficiently accurately positioned on the security document at a distance of between a few centimeters and more than a meter, the means enabling the radiation to be positioned on a document being laser radiation or intense and narrow radiation referred to as a pointer radiation emitted within the range of perception of the eye, said tester thus emitting at least one remotely visible radiation.
