[origin: WO2011142661A1] This invention relates to a milk frothing device (100) adapted to froth milk or other milk- based liquids, the device (100) comprising a main body (101) forming a container (116) for the milk or other milk-based liquids, a cover (103) fitting onto the main body (101), an agitation element (106) and a drive mechanism for driving the agitation element (105) where the drive mechanism is at least partly received in the cover (103), and a base unit (102), wherein said cover (103) further comprises a cover contact (107) for supplying the drive mechanism with power and wherein said base unit (102) comprises a base contact (108) for connecting with the cover contact (107) thereby enabling transfer of power to the cover (103) from the base unit (102). In this way, a milk frothing device for frothing milk or other milk-based liquids is provided that enables improved handling.
