Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011141050A1] The invention relates to a device for storing a flexible tube or a cable, comprising a frame (12) on which a drum that can be rotated about a rotational axis (36) is held for receiving the flexible tube or cable. The frame (12) has a lower part (45) and an upper part (47) that are interconnected in such a way that they pivot about a pivoting axis (50) by means of at least one hinge (48) arranged between a lower end (18) and an upper end (26) of the frame (12), such that the frame (12) can switch between a position of use and a storage position as a result of the pivoting of the upper part (47) of the frame in relation to the lower part (45). The device (10) occupies a smaller space in the storage position than in the position of use. The aim of the invention is to provide such a device that can be stored in a compact manner and is user-friendly. To this end, the drum (32) is held on the upper part (47) of the frame and, when the frame (12) is in the position of use, the rotational axis (36) is further away from the lower end (18) of the frame (12) than the pivoting axis (50).
