[origin: WO2011141436A1] The invention relates to a device for controlling an exhaust valve (3), provided with a crank mechanism (2) that can be driven by an actuator (1) and can be moved, when the exhaust valve (3) is in the closed end position, past a dead centre towards an abutment (12). In said position, the crank mechanism (2) is held without using any energy and can only be moved out of this position by the driving of the actuator (1). Forces introduced from the side of the exhaust valve (3) cannot move the crank mechanism (2).
