Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2570268A2] The method involves producing double slit perforation lines (3, 4) on respective printed sheets (1, 2) on an edge-side such that one of the perforation lines (4) runs offset to the other perforation line (3) around a slit length (SL). Strip-like edge sections (1', 2') are separated from the sheets and divided by one of the perforation lines. Remaining printed sheet sections (1'', 2'') are joined to a book block and adhered with each other on the edge-side. Printed sheet edges with multiple similar rectangular breakouts are produced by separating the edge sections at the lines.
