The motor vehicle lock has a lock latch (1) and a lock pawl (2). The lock latch is engaged with locking wedge (3) in closed position, and is not engaged with locking wedge in open position. An electric drive (4) is equipped for motorized lifting of lock pawl. A lock mechanism (6) is equipped for manual raising of lock pawl from the outside and inside with outer door handle (7) and inner door handle (8) respectively. The lock mechanism is operated in lock state when electric drive is disabled. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling motor vehicle lock.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kraftfahrzeugschloss mit Schließelementen wie Schlossfalle (1) und Sperrklinke (2), wobei ein elektrischer Öffnungsantrieb (4) zum motorischen Ausheben der Sperrklinke (2) vorgesehen ist, wobei eine Schlossmechanik (6) zum manuellen Ausheben der Sperrklinke (2) von außen und von innen über einen Türaußengriff (7) und einen Türinnengriff (8) vorgesehen ist. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Anordnung so getroffen ist, dass das motorische Ausheben der Sperrklinke (2) elektrisch gesperrt ist, solange die Schlossmechanik (6) in dem Schlosszustand DL steht.
