Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2570573A2] The motor vehicle lock has a lock latch (1) and a lock pawl (2). The lock latch is engaged with locking wedge (3) in closed position, and is not engaged with locking wedge in open position. An electric drive (4) is equipped for motorized lifting of lock pawl. A lock mechanism (6) is equipped for manual raising of lock pawl from the outside and inside with outer door handle (7) and inner door handle (8) respectively. The lock mechanism is operated in lock state when electric drive is disabled. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling motor vehicle lock.
