[origin: EP2570734A1] The mechanism has an extractor hood (10) and an active air-conditioning device (11), and a detection unit (14) for detecting a state of a component of the air-conditioning device. A recognizing unit (15) recognizes abnormality of operation of the air-conditioning device. An output device (107) is provided at the extractor hood and outputs an error message corresponding to a detected error in the operation of the air-conditioning device. An air treatment device enables air treatment by dielectric barrier discharge. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a vapor trigger mechanism.
