Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2570869A1] The timepiece (1) has an oscillator (15) oscillating at a frequency and connected by a gear train (5) to an energy source (9) to display the time. A chronograph system (51) comprises another gear train (25) that is connected to the former gear train via a coupling device, and another oscillator (35) that is connected to the latter gear train and oscillates at another frequency. The latter gear train is connected to the former gear train by an elastic coupling unit (41) to synchronize the rate of the oscillators using the energy source when the coupling unit authorizes time measurement.
