[origin: WO2011144282A1] The invention relates to a spacer (1) for fastening an object (2) at a distance from a substrate (4) provided with an insulating layer (3). The spacer (1) comprises an anchor bolt (7), which can be anchored in the substrate (4), and a spacing element (8), which is connected to the anchor bolt (7). The spacer (1) acts as a thermally separating insulator and has a connecting element (16) for connecting the spacing element (8) to the object (2). In order for an object (2) to be installable on a plurality of spacers (1) even if the spacers cannot be oriented parallel to each other, a rotatable joint (15) is arranged between the connecting element (16) and the spacing element (8) in such a way that the object (2) can be connected to the spacing element (8) in an articulated manner.
